Emotional Eating: Its Cause and How to Control it

Can you relate to this? It’s dinner hour and you’re already worn down from the day but you’ve got to get the kids fed before you have to rush out the door to get the kids soccer practice and karate class. You get the dinner on the table but the kids are fighting, the phone is ringing, and no one wants to sit down to eat. You grab a few quick bites as you clean up the mess and get everyone out the door. Later that night you start hearing the Ben & Jerry’s calling from the freezer, eat three scopes, and convince yourself that you deserved a treat after the long, hard day you had. Finally the kids are in bed and it’s time to check emails and relax in front of the TV. The bag of chips in the cabinet starts sounding pretty good right about now.
